Last weekends AGM was a significant event in many ways as it marked the end of an era for the Club. Our President of eight years, Dave Pheeney did not nominate for a ninth term due to ill health but has vowed he will still be involved in some capacity. We are most fortunate to have had someone of Dave’s skill, energy and dedication throughout the years. Thanks must also go to Lesley who has been there all the way with Dave. As testament to his dedication he recently received the Eurobodalla Volunteer of the Year Award at the Apex Business Awards, where a capacity crowd gave a standing ovation in recognition.

Welcome to the new team for 2009 / 10 headed by our new President – Richard Hermens. Richard will be heading to Sydney in the near future to attend a four day leadership conference and I’m sure he will return full of enthusiasm and ideas for the new season. We also welcome David Saines to the position of Junior Vice President (King Nipper) this year and we wish him every success.
